GOLD Award – Wedding In Camera Artistry

I recently returned from attending the NZIPP Iris Awards in Wellington which is New Zealand’s photo print awards. This year was particularly important to me, as it marked my first entry since 2017 when I won the title of NZ Wedding Photographer of the Year!

This year, not only was I a finalist in the Wedding In-camera Artistry category but I received an elusive GOLD AWARD! My awards this year were even more rewarding as it was the first year I printed them myself. Although you can enter digital images now, this competition places significant weight on the quality of printing in an image also so you are being judged on that too.

The images I submitted were taken at real weddings in locations across New Zealand including Auckland and Wanaka.

Every wedding I photograph is a reminder of why I chose this path. The fulfilment I feel from capturing genuine moments that couples will cherish for many years to come is unparalleled.
