Hi. I’m Emily, thank you so much for being here.
Documenting weddings has given me an insight into the passing of time, the fleeting nature of moments and the full range of emotions. The things that are universal in all walks of life. The things that I am lucky enough to witness and document for you.
I love slow mornings, strong coffee, autumn colours, spending time with my pets, people watching & learning about and experiencing different cultures. I’m always keen to try the cuisine and hear about the traditions and meanings.
One of my favourite places is the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art. Just walking in the door brings back so many memories of my grandmother.
My favourite weddings to photograph are the ones where people welcome me like family and I can be one of you for the day, while documenting it all.

On team A Bit More Soul, a New Zealand retreat for photographers & creatives which began in 2013. We have held retreats in Arrowtown, Wellington, Golden Bay, D’urville Island, Raglan and Auckland and we hosted our final retreat in Wanaka in November 2018.
